The Los Alamos Hilltopper football team lost for the second straight week in the Four Corners area Friday night.
The Bloomfield Bobcats came back from a late fourth quarter deficit to defeat the Hilltoppers 19-15 at Bloomfield.
The loss was the third straight for Los Alamos (1-3) heading into what could be its toughest game of the season, a Homecoming date with the Belen Eagles, the second-ranked team in Class AAAA according to the most recent statewide coaches’ poll. Belen, which was idle this week, has outscored its opponents in three games this season 138-42.
Bloomfield (1-3), playing in its first season in AAAA after a mostly successful stint in AAA, had struggled coming into the game, dropping two straight games to AAAA opponents.
