The voting members of District 2AAAA picked 10 Los Alamos Hilltopper football players for its first team for the 2007 season.Los Alamos picked up the 10 All-District 2AAAA first team slots along with four second team slots and four honorable mention picks.The first team included Ruben Martinez, Martin Romero, Jeremy Kasik, Aaron Kilburn, Matt Zocco, Eric Carlson, Scott Mortensen, Raul Rodriguez, Zach Mang and Zakk Walterscheid.Martinez, Romero and Rodriguez made up one of the most prolific rushing trios in the state this season, while Carlson, Kilburn, Walterscheid and Mortensen played on the offensive line that opened their running lanes. Kasik was the starting quarterback this season, and Mang played both running back and defensive back this season.Hilltopper head coach Bob Scott said he was really glad to see those 10 get the All-District recognition.“Those guys did a good job,” Scott said. “They worked pretty hard...They deserved what they got. It was a good deal.”For the All-District second team, Los Alamos selections included Scott Teegarden, Sean Ward, Blaine Lattin and Issac Schilling.Both Teegarden and Ward missed considerable time this season with injuries.
