* A PORTION OF NORTH AND CENTRAL NEW MEXICO... INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS... JEMEZ MOUNTAINS... NORTHWEST HIGHLANDS... SOUTHWEST MOUNTAINS... WEST CENTRAL HIGHLANDS AND WEST CENTRAL MOUNTAINS.

* UNTIL 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING

* SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL FROM THE SOUTHWEST MOUNTAINS NORTHWARD ALONG THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE TO THE NORTHWEST HIGHLANDS AND THE JEMEZ MOUNTAINS THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY EVENING.

* THE GREATEST THREAT FOR FLASH FLOODING WILL EXIST NEAR BURN SCAR AREAS... INCLUDING THE WHITEWATER-BALDY COMPLEX... LAS CONCHAS... THOMPSON RIDGE... AND DIEGO. HEAVY RAINFALL MAY LEAD TO DANGEROUS CONDITIONS NEAR ARROYOS... DITCHES... LOW WATER CROSSINGS... AND UNDERPASSES. NEVER ATTEMPT TO DRIVE THROUGH FLOOD WATERS.
