-A A +A

Charette Lakes: No report.

Cimarron River: 3.6 cfs.  More open water but fishing still very slow.

Clayton Lake: No report.

Conchas Lake: Fishing for walleye is good at about 50-60 feet with minnows. White bass are also being caught; however fishing pressure is still very light.

Costilla Creek: Still iced over.

Coyote Creek: Creek is still iced over.

Eagle Nest Lake: 15 inches of grainy ice. Warm weather this week may close the lake to ice fishing.  Fishing is good for yellow perch and rainbows with Power Bait and worms.

Lake Alice and Lake Maloya: Fishing is good with Power Bait and dough bait for trout; however, poor ice conditions will probably close the lake to ice fishing this week. Lake Alice has some open water, but fishing is poor.

Maxwell Lakes: Fishing is good for trout using corn and marshmallows.

Monastery Lake:  Fishing is fair with salmon eggs and green and orange Power Bait.

Morphy Lake: Opens April 1.

Pecos River: 40 cfs at Terrero. Upper river is opening up and fishing is fair with nymph pattern flies.  Villanueva has been fair with salmon eggs.

Red River: Fishing is good below the hatchery using dry flies on cloudy days.
