Charette Lakes: Fishing is fair for trout and perch.
Cimarron River: More water is open from the Palisades to Ute Park but water level is very low.
Clayton Lake: The lake has been recently stocked with trout but fish are not biting yet. No report on walleye.
Conchas Lake: Fishing for walleye is good at about 50 to 60 feet with minnows. Water temp is 49 degrees.
Costilla Creek: Still iced over.
Coyote Creek: The creek is still iced over.
Eagle Nest Lake: 15 inches of ice with windy conditions. Fishing is good for yellow perch and rainbows with Power Bait and worms. Pike are being caught with meal worms. Note: It is illegal to use live shiners as bait at Eagle Nest Lake.
Lake Alice and Lake Maloya: Ice is 17 inches thick at Maloya. Fishing is good with salmon eggs, corn, Power Bait and dough bait for trout. Lake Alice has some open water, but fishing is poor. Stay off the ice.
Maxwell Lakes: Fishing is good for trout using Power Bait and salmon eggs.
Monastery Lake: The lake is clear of ice, but fishing has been slow due to poor weather and wind. Stocking will resume in April.
Morphy Lake: Opens April 1.
