Los Alamos firefighter Brandon Gore has been charged with indecent exposure in Albuquerque — the third incident to rock a department already left reeling from two other high profile cases this year.
According to the criminal complaint filed in Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court, a Bernalillo County Sheriff’s officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of Alameda Blvd., at about 1:30 p.m. on Sunday on a report of a man exposing himself.
“Upon arrival, I saw a male subject walking south on the ditch bank that fit the description given by the calling party,” Ofc. R. Sears stated in the complaint.
Upon questioning, the officer identified the man as Brandon Gore, who then told the officer that he had relieved himself “over by the bridge a while ago.”
The officer placed Gore, 25, of Edgewood, in handcuffs and read him his Miranda rights before Gore agreed to talk with Sears, according to the criminal complaint.
“I asked him what happened and he told me that he was still a little drunk from last night and he was just walking to clear his head,” Sears said in the complaint. “As he approached the bridge, he had to urinate so he looked around and did not see anyone so he relieved himself there.”
Gore then told the officer that he saw a female approaching and he started to walk.
