The Farmington Scorpions scored a late first half touchdown that set the tone for the rest of the contest, spoiling the Los Alamos Hilltoppers' home opening football game Friday.
Farmington made some key plays on offense behind tailback Brian Farley, who had touchdown runs of 69 and 70 yards, to drub the Hilltoppers 41-6 at Sullivan Field.
Los Alamos (1-1) was hoping to bring some momentum, especially on the offensive side of the ball, into Friday's game following a big win over Pojoaque Valley last week, but the Scorpion defense held the Hilltoppers to just 48 yards and no points in the first half.
