Engagements: Shelley-Parkinson

Ken and Valerie Shelley are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter Desta Bernice Shelley, to David Allen Parkinson, son of Scott and Julie Parkinson of White Rock, N.M.
Desta is a 2008 graduate of Los Alamos High School.  She is currently a junior in the nursing program at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.  Desta was a nursing intern at the Children’s Clinic at Los Alamos Medical Center last summer.
David is a 2006 graduate of Los Alamos High School.  After serving a full-time mission to Brazil for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, David returned to college at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.  He is currently a junior in the chemical engineering program. David was a student intern at Los Alamos National Laboratory last summer.
Following their wedding ceremony on Dec. 21, 2010 at the Albuquerque, New Mexico, Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints the couple will reside at Provo, Utah.
