SCULLAWL – Feb. 12, 1913 – Jan. 10, 2008 – Ella Pearl (Hobbs) Scullawl, a long-time resident of Los Alamos, passed into her next life with the Lord at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008. She was one of four children born to Nellie and Ottie Hobbs, all of whom preceded her in death. She was born in Kansas, but later moved with her family to Oklahoma. After graduating from high school Ella married Jim Scullawl. Jim preceded her in death in 1972. Ella remained independent until 2002 when she moved into the Sombrillo nursing home where she resided until her death.Ella and Jim had two daughters, Shirleene Westerhold (Gene) of Los Alamos and Karen Lohman (Leo) of Arvada, Colo. She is survived by her daughters and their spouses, and four grandchildren: Steve Westerhold (Lucille) of Los Alamos, Gina Cushing (Bill) of Hamilton, Mont.; Leah Dennison (Brian) of Arvada, Colo; and Greg Lohman (Myung) of Battle Creek, Mich. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Sombrillo Auxillary, 1011 Sombrillo Court, Los Alamos, NM 87544.A memorial service was conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Los Alamos.
