Sue Elkins had a perfect prediction in Tuesday’s Pace Race, and she needed a perfect prediction to win.
The Pace Race is a weekly event hosted by the Atomic City Roadrunners. They run every Tuesday at various sites around Los Alamos County.
This week’s race was in Pajarito Acres, starting on Acoma Lane.
Elkins called her time perfectly on the 1-mile course, just nipping Eddie Gartz, who was only 1 second off his predicted finish time. Zachary Medin had the best time on Tuesday’s 2.8-mile course, coming in 14 seconds off.
The next Pace Race will start near Quemazon Montessori School, located at 4600 Esperanza Ave. The race, which begins at 6 p.m., will include both a 1-mile and 3-mile course.
