Sue Elkins was the top predictor at this week’s Atomic City Roadrunners’ Pace Race.
The Pace Race was Tuesday night and started in the Quemazon subdivision. In all, 33 runners and walkers took part.
The 1-mile course Tuesday went up and down the steep Quemazon Road hill, while the 2.87-mile course also went onto Pipeline Road and the Perimeter Trail.
Elkins had a prediction error of 12 seconds on the 1-mile course. She beat Bob Weeks, who was 21 seconds off his time and Inez Ross, who was 30 seconds off.
Ted Romero was the fastest finisher on the long course with his time of 23:31.
On the short course, Nikol Strother, who had the best prediction the week before, finished in 7:20.
The next Pace Race will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday. It will start at the play lot on San Ildefonso Road on Barranca Mesa.
