Edgewater earns DOE honor

Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC, of Los Alamos was named Small Business of the Year by the U.S. Department of Energy.

DOE, the largest civilian contracting agency within the Federal government, is conducting its 12th Annual Small Business Conference & Expo at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri today through Thursday.

According to its website, Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC, “we provide expert assistance to improve human performance when quality, safety and regulatory compliance are essential.

“Our strong technical capabilities are derived from the extensive nuclear experience of Edgewater’s management and senior staff. Our expertise spans numerous areas of DOE, NNSA and commercial nuclear activities, encompassing regulatory, compliance, Integrated Safety Management, human performance strategies and multidisciplinary engineering services.”

Edgewater Technical Associates started business at LANL in 2003. 

According to its website, “Edgewater continues to have a strong presence at LANL, and we enjoy an excellent working relationship with LANS, the LANL prime contractor. Of the 1,300 small businesses supporting LANS, Edgewater is one of seven companies to receive the 2010 Service Excellence Award.”
