Track and field: LA sends 8 girls, 3 boys to Sepulveda meet

By The Staff

Los Alamos girls track and field multi-discipline star Chase Ealey appears once more to be the one to beat in her two best events.
Ealey, a senior for the Hilltoppers, won the 100 meters and the shot put at the Marilyn Sepulveda Meet of Champions Monday. Ealey, the three-time reigning sprint champ and the 2011 state Class 4A shot put champ, picked up wins in both events Monday in what is a mid-season All-Star track meet.
Ealey had been out during the preseason with a hamstring pull, but has since healed and appears now to be back in championship form.
On the boys side, Jacob Brown took third in the triple jump and Sean Reardon was fourth in the 1,600 meters.
