Los Alamos residents Jeffrey Aslin, 45, and Krysti Hernandez, 43, were released from the Los Alamos Detention Center earlier this week after being arrested on drug charges.
Aslin was released earlier this week on a $20,000 surety bond and Hernandez was released Tuesday on a $10,000 signature bond.
Both suspects are due in court Nov. 21 to face charges of trafficking a controlled substance, (methamphetamine) and conspiracy. Aslin was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the Los Alamos Police Department, Aslin and Hernandez were arrested Oct. 11, following a Friday night traffic stop. According to police, Aslin and Hernandez were part of a month-long investigation. Police also served Aslin with a bench warrant for a previous violation.
Aslin is also due to appear in magistrate court Nov. 14 to face charges of aggravated DWI, having an open container in the vehicle, driving with a suspended license, careless driving and resisting arrest.
When asked about the current charges after his court appearance, Aslin replied, they were “false accusations… I’m not guilty yet.” He also claimed the police “did not find anything, nothing was found; there was nothing to be found.”
When asked about the charges, Aslin said, “It was because I work late and I have a lot of friends.”
