SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — Snow and ice are making for difficult driving conditions in northern New Mexico's high country.
The state Department of Transportation says crews were out Monday morning along sections of Interstate 25 plowing snow and spreading salt and cinders on the roadways.
It is snowing heavily along a 60 mile stretch of the highway from Colmor to Raton and drivers are asked to slow down and be extra careful.
Similar conditions are reported along parts of U.S. 64 south of Raton to Taos Pass and along state and local roads in the region.
