ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Difficult driving conditions are increasing throughout northern New Mexico.
The state Department of Transportation has not posted any road closures but a winter storm moving through New Mexico is leaving roads icy or slushy.
Motorists are being urged to use caution and reduce their speed.
Difficult driving conditions are reported on Interstate 40 from Tucumcari to the Texas state line and from Laguna west to the Arizona state line.
Interstate 25 also has difficult driving conditions and some snowpacked and icy spots from Santa Fe north through Raton to the state line with Colorado.
Difficult driving conditions are reported in the Silver City area of southwestern New Mexico, in northwestern New Mexico around Farmington and around Los Alamos.
