Dear Editor,It would have been nice to see the Monitor’s opinion about what to do with the old Municipal Building before council members cast their votes to remove the building rather then refurbish it. Our council works very hard to make sound decisions for all the citizens of our county. I would hope that next time a big issue comes before council, the Monitor can make its opinion known prior to the vote – and not after – so that its thoughts can be factored into the decision-making process. The way it stands now, the timing of your editorial makes your words just a bunch of sour grapes and adds to the difficult job our council has to making a decision and then sticking to it. If we all wait until after these votes to complain and council must constantly revisit its decisions, how is our county possibly going to move forward? The time to be heard is before council votes on issues.Greg KendallLos Alamos
