Joseph Smith was found guilty in Los Alamos Municipal Court of driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs.
The defendant was ordered to serve 90 days in jail with 87 days suspended for a jail term of 3 days, and placed on one year of supervised probation. He was also fined $750 and ordered to pay $350 in court costs.

Amber Filip was found guilty in Los Alamos Municipal Court of speeding 11 to 15 miles an hour over the posted speed limit in a school zone. Her sentence was deferred, and she was ordered to pay $46 in court costs.

May 21

Johnny Garcia was found guilty in Los Alamos Magistrate Court of driving while under the influence of liquor and/or drugs.
The defendant was ordered to serve 90 days in jail, with 90 days suspended. The defendant was also placed on 364 days of supervised probation.
While on probation, he is expected to participate in Alcohol/Drug screenings, successfully complete DWI school and the Victim Impact Program within 90 days, obtain an ignition interlock license and install an ignition interlock device, as well as pay any costs associated with the device, and maintain contact with the probation officer. He was also fined $241 and is expected to complete 24 hours of community service within 90 days.

Robert Bueck was found guilty in Los Alamos Magistrate Court of careless driving.
The defendant was sentenced to 90 days of supervised probation. While on probation, he is expected to participate in Alcohol/Drug screenings, continue treatment with ADAPT recovery, and maintain contact with the probation officer.
