Michael Fowler, 33, of Española pleaded guilty in Magistrate Court to the charge of driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs. Judge Pat Casados sentenced Fowler to participate in an alcohol screening and treatment program, continue attending prevention meetings three times a week, install an interlock device on his vehicle, attend DWI school and a victim impact panel, serve 364 days of supervised probation and 24 hours of supervised community service. The judge also ordered Fowler to pay a $50 fee for possessing a controlled substance, $20 in court costs and $291 in fees.

Bradley Hughes, 27, of Los Alamos pleaded guilty in Magistrate Court to the charge of possession of a controlled substance. Judge Pat Casados ordered Encinias to pay a $50 fee for possessing a controlled substance, $20 in court costs and $148 in fees.

Hillary Salazar, 22, of Española pleaded guilty in Magistrate Court to the charge of having sun screen material on her vehicle windows. She pleaded nolo contendere to the charge of driving while her license was revoked. The court accepted Salazar’s plea of nolo contendere as an admission of guilt for the purposes of this action only. Judge Pat Casados sentenced Salazar to serve seven days in Los Alamos County jail and to pay $300 for driving on a revoked license. The judge ordered Salazar to return to the court no later than Nov. 7 to provide proof that she has removed the sunscreen from her vehicle’s windows. The judge also ordered Salazar to pay $20 in court costs and $61 in fees.

Oct. 20

Alfred Encinas, 29, of Los Alamos pleaded guilty in Magistrate Court to the charge of possession of a controlled substance. Judge Pat Casados ordered Encinas to pay a $50 fee for possessing a controlled substance, $20 in court costs and $148 in fees.

Devorick Blackgoat, 24, of Albuquerque pleaded guilty in Magistrate Court to the charge of possession of marijuana less than an ounce. Judge Pat Casados ordered Blackgoat to pay a $50 fee for possessing marijuana less than an ounce, $20 in court costs and $148 in fees.

Jose Rangel, 23, of Santa Cruz pleaded guilty in Magistrate Court to the charge of possession of marijuana less than an ounce. Judge Pat Casados ordered Rangel to pay a $50 fee for possessing marijuana less than an ounce, $20 in court costs and $148 in fees.
