Stephen Duran, 29, of Los Alamos pleaded nolo contendere in Magistrate Court and the court accepted the plea as an admission of guilt for the purposes of this action only on a charge of battery. Judge Pat Casados sentenced Duran to anger management classes, to continue Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, serve 180 days of supervised probation, pay a $25 monthly probation fee and $73 in court costs and fees.
Megan Montoya, 23, of Los Alamos pleaded guilty in Magistrate Court to charges of driving under the influence of intoxicating alcohol or drugs and driving on a revoked license. Judge Pat Casados sentenced Montoya to alcohol screening and to a treatment program, 24 hours of community service, attend a victim impact panel, install an interlock device on her vehicle, attend DWI school, serve 364 days of supervised probation, pay a $25 monthly probation fee and $251 in court costs and fees. The Judge also ordered Montoya to serve seven days with an electronic monitoring device and to pay $81 in court costs and fees for driving while her license was revoked.
