Lucas Bigham, 31, Lakewood, Colo., pleaded guilty to speeding 16-20 mph over the limit in Los Alamos Municipal Court. Judge Alan Kirk ordered him to pay $100 fine and a $46 court fee.
Selly Veng, 24, Los Alamos, pleaded guilty in Municipal Court for failure to obey signal. She ran a red light. Kirk ordered her to pay a $50 fine and $46 court fee.
Rachel Allen, 39, Los Alamos, pleaded guilty in Municipal Court to improper lane, but failed to appear in court, to which she pleaded no contest. Kirk found her guilty of the second charge and sentenced her to pay a $125 fine and $184 in court fees. He also ordered Allen to a minimum of 12 ½ hours of community service to help pay off the fine at $10 per hour.
A 16-year-old male from Los Alamos pleaded guilty in Municipal Court to jaywalking. He ran across Diamond Drive after being told not to. He was ordered to pay a $50 fine.
Jeanne Robinson, 54, Los Alamos, pleaded guilty in Municipal Court to speeding 6 to 10 mph over the speed limit in a school zone. She was ordered to pay a $100 fine and $46 in court fees.
Mari Gaetjen, Los Alamos, pleaded guilty in Los Alamos Magistrate Court to DWI, first offense, as part of a plea agreement. Judge Pat Casados sentenced Gaetjen to a year of probation, install an ignition interlock device and ordered her to pay a $241 fine. She was initially charged with failing to maintain traffic lane and aggravated DWI.
Chelsea McCormick, Los Alamos, pleaded guilty in Magistrate Court to careless driving. Casados sentenced her to 180 days of unsupervised probation, enter an alcohol/drug screening program, complete DWI school and pay $81 in court fees. McCormick was initially also charged with aggravated DWI and reckless driving. Both charges were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
