March 5

Angelo Herrera, 29, Santa Fe, pleaded no contest in Municipal Court for parking in a prohibited area. Judge Alan Kirk found him guilty of that offense and a subsequent offense of failure to pay. He was ordered to pay a $96 fine.
March 7

Timothy McCurdy, 52, Española, pleaded guilty in Municipal Court to casual sales of a motor vehicle. Judge Kirk ordered him to pay a $50 fine.

Sarah Manzanares, Los Alamos, pleaded guilty in Magistrate Court to DWI. She was initially charged with aggravated DWI. Judge Pat Casados ordered her to one year probation, to obtain an ignition interlock device, and pay a $241 fee.                                                          
March 8

Alicia Cisneros, 39, Santa Fe, pleaded guilty in Municipal Court to 21-25 mph over the speed limit. She told the officer that she was trying to get to work early. Kirk fined her $196.

Karina Buttler Peña, Los Alamos, pleaded guilty in Los Alamos Magistrate Court to attempting to give or sell alcohol to a minor as part of a plea deal. Judge Pat Casados ordered Pena to a year of unsupervised probation and a $73 fee. Pena was initially charged with giving or selling alcohol to a minor.

Andrew Garsik, Los Alamos, pleaded guilty in Magistrate Court to DWI – second offense — as part of a plea deal. Garsik was initially charged with larceny between $250 and $500, receiving stolen property, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and having an open container. Casados ordered him to install an ignition interlock device, perform 48 hours of community service, four years of supervised probation and to pay $741 in fees and fines.

Anthony Chavez, Jemez Springs, pleaded guilty in Magistrate Court to attempted credit card theft as part of plea agreement. He was initially charged with unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and two charges of fraudulent use of a credit card. Casados ordered Chavez to a year of probation and to pay a $73 fee.

Kim Rodgers Mattys, Los Alamos, pleaded guilty in Magistrate Court to DWI as part of a plea deal. She was initially charged with three charges of battery upon a peace officer, resisting or obstructing an officer, assault upon a health care worker, three charges of assault upon a peace officer, careless driving, open container on person in motor vehicle upon road, failure to display registration plate, two counts of disorderly conduct, battery upon a health care worker and possession of a controlled substance. Casados ordered Mattys to 24 hours of community service, install an ignition interlock device in her vehicle and pay a $241 fee.
March 9

Hazel Devries, 70, Los Alamos, pleaded guilty in Los Alamos Municipal Court to speeding 1-5 mph over the speed limit. Judge Kirk ordered her to pay a $61 fee.

Kristen Richardson, 45, Albuquerque, pleaded guilty to parking in a designated disabled space. Judge Kirk ordered her to pay a $50 fine.
