Discovery Channel will be conducting its filing for the upcoming Profiles Series about Los Alamos schools in two locations on Friday.
Beginning at 8:45 a.m., the channel will be at the Mountain Elementary School to film different classes.
At 10 a.m., the channel will shift its focus to the high school and Los Alamos Schools Chief Financial Officer John Wolfe said there is a full schedule.
Classes scheduled to be filmed include mixed choir, computer art, NJROTC, sports medicine. Robotics 2, symphonic orchestra, symphonic band, AP Calculus and physical conditioning
In the afternoon, the Discovery Channel will shoot interviews.
Scheduled to be interviewed are superintendent Gene Schmidt, high school principal Sandy Warnock and student Shannon Burns. Mountain Elementary principal Gerry Washburn also is expected to be interviewed.
Washburn said the Mountain School was honored to be able to participate in the Discovery Channel filming.
