Diamond Drive story was mostly on the mark

I believe the most important role of newspapers is to keep citizens informed of what is happening in their community.  By being informed we can then be active in the community.

Thank you for your recent reporting on Thursday night’s Phase 4 of the Diamond Drive project meeting (“Diamond Drive project begins final lap,” Jan. 8).  I especially appreciated learning which of our county councilors were present.  In the spirit of keeping us informed, and allowing us to follow up the story on our own, it would have been nice if the article had included contact information for project officials and a link to any web pages that deal with project scheduling, updates, etc.

Along these same lines I want to give you kudos for publishing contact information for the county councilors on the Opinion page.
