County council will be back in council chambers on Tuesday and have a somewhat light agenda that night.
The evening will begin with recognition of the county’s pavement division for awards and participation in the First Annual New Mexico Association of Counties’ Public Works Affiliate Equipped ROADEO. Lino Salazar, Billy Vigil and Scott Halder will accept the recognition.
The Office of Management and Budget will also be recognized for two awards for excellence in financial reporting and budget presentations from the Government Finance Officers Association. Gina Coluzzi from the OMB will accept the recognition.
In keeping with the light agenda, there are only two items slated for the consent portion: An amendment to the FY2010 Salary Plan including new job descriptions for the deputy utility manager – power supply, deputy utility manager – electrical distribution, deputy police chief, scale operator and water systems apprentice III; and County of Los Alamos Agreement Number AGR No. 3552-10 with Wilson and Company in the amount of $349,695 including applicable gross receipts taxes for preparation of an alignment study for State Road 4, including gateway engineering parameters and an arroyo/trail along the Canada del Buey.
One appeal is scheduled to be heard on Tuesday night, as well. Council will hear Appeal 09-APL-001 from a decision of the Planning and Zoning Commission in Case 08-SUP-003 to deny a wavier from the Downtown Architectural Design Standards of Section 16-582 of the county code.
One item is scheduled for the business portion of the agenda, as well. Community Development Director Rick Bohn and Housing Programs Manager Steven Brugger will give a presentation and discuss the draft Los Alamos Affordable Housing Plan.
An appointment to the Regional Development Corporation Board of Directors will be made, as well a Board/Commission appointment to the Lodger’s Tax Advisory Board.
The meeting will be televised on PAC-8 and will be available for streaming online.
