The deadline for applications for the Charter Review Committee is approaching.
Applicants wishing to be considered for appointment to the Committee should send a one or two-page letter to the Council no later than 5 p.m. on Feb. 22. The letter should contain their name, address, phone number and e-mail address, along with their employer (if applicable) and if they belong to any civic organizations.
In addition, they are asked to submit information about “why” they would like to serve on the committee. Letters may be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or mailed or hand-carried to the county administrator’s office at 133 Central Park Square.
The council plans to appoint the new members at their March 1 council meeting. The appointments are needed to replace two members of the committee who have resigned since work got underway in 2010.
