OTHMER – Surrounded by his family, Craig Othmer went peacefully to the Lord Dec. 11, 2007, after a battle with cancer.He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Thomas Othmer.Craig is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sheila Brown, and daughters, Rosemary and Elizabeth of Santa Fe; mother, Betty Will Othmer; sisters, Margaret and husband Michael Rouse, Mary Othmer and husband John Myre, and Dorothy Sheehi, all of Albuquerque; nieces, Melinda Rouse, Barbara Sheehi; and nephews, Eric and Alan Myre; he also dearly loved his many sisters and brothers-in-law and their children; his aunts and uncle Dorothy and Peter Bisesi and Alene Duncan and families.Craig was born in Omaha, Neb., May 19, 1944, son of Betty and Richard Othmer. He lived in Ames, Iowa, until he was 11 and moved to Albuquerque, NM. He was a graduate of Queen of Heaven Catholic School. He graduated from St. Pius X High School in 1963. He received a B.S. in civil engineering from UNM in 1968.He served as a naval officer in Vietnam and other parts of the world. In 1974, he was awarded his Juris Doctorate from UNM Law School. He practiced law in Washington, D.C., where he met the love of his life, Sheila.
