Los Alamos county Council will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in Council Chambers, 475 20th Street in a regular session. There will be a public hearing on an ordinance to rezone parcels A-8-A and A-8-B, situated along DP Road, from federal land to multi-family residential zoning. The business agenda includes a recommendation from the Art in Public Places board for the purchase of a sculpture for the roundabout, as well as a briefing on the possibility of the Department of Public Utilities constructing and operating a wideband network for Los Alamos County. County Administrator Max Baker and Chief Financial Officer Steven Lynne are slated to present an update on the County’s long-range financial plan and capital improvement program to council.
Council will be asked to approve the award of a bid to construction company AS Horner in the amount of $6,580,547, for Diamond Drive Phase 2 construction. The total budget requested for Phase 2 is $8,852,000.
