Counterintelligence expert to address Black History Month

The director of the Office of Counterintelligence at Los Alamos National Laboratory will be the keynote speaker for a Black History Month public discussion at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the University of New Mexico -  Los Alamos Lecture Hall, Building 2, upper level.William McKinley Phillips, III, will speak on “How Might We View Black History Month: Embracing Cultural Diversity.”  Phillips was 11 years old and present when Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., gave his “I have a Dream,” speech in Washington, D.C.Phillips, a lawyer, worked for 26 years undercover on the operations side of the clandestine service of Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).  He has held his current position at Los Alamos National Laboratory since August 2005.Phillips was an Earl Warren Legal Scholar at Rutgers University Law School-Newark, where he earned a Juris Doctorate degree.
