Public hearings and utility easements top the agenda for Tuesday night’s county council meeting. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in council chambers.
The evening will begin with two proclamations. The first will declare April 18 as Clean Up Los Alamos Day. The second will designate April 22 as Earth Day in Los Alamos County.
Three utility easements are slated for the consent agenda. The first is a vacation of utility easement within Lot 213 of Eastern Area No. 2. The second is a grant of utility easement within Lot 213 of Eastern Area No. 2 in Los Alamos County. The third is another vacation of utility easement, this time within Lot 2A of North Community No. 1.
The fourth item on the consent agenda has nothing to do with utility easement, but rather an amendment to the FY 2009 salary plan and new job descriptions for staff services manager. The last consent agenda item is a motion for approval of Amendment No. 2 with the Regional Development Corporation for REDI Phase II project implementation services.
The first public hearing of the evening pertains to the conveyance in fee to the Los Alamos Public Schools certain real property known as Tract WA, located in the 800 and 900 blocks of Trinity Drive.
The second public hearing will center on authorizing the execution of a lease agreement providing for the lease to LAPS of certain facilities located at the Airport Basin.
The only item listed under council business is the contract for Diamond Drive Phase 3, which will be awarded to RMCI Inc. on Tuesday night.
Board appointments will round out the evening as seats on the Fuller Lodge Historic Advisory Board, Utilities Board and Transportation Board are filled.
