Council: Skate park appeal on agenda

The appeal of the Planning and Zoning Commission’s approval of the site plan for the Skate Park to be placed in front of the Mesa Public Library has been scheduled.

It will be held during Tuesday’s county council meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers (Community Building, 475 20th St.)

The meeting will be televised live on PAC 8, as well as Internet streaming at www.losalamos.com/pac8. The council’s agenda will be posted on the county’s website, hard copies are available at the public libraries and Customer Care Center.

Council voted 5-2 on May 20 to proceed with construction of the skate park at the library site, but the project was placed on hold after the County’s Community Development Department received the appeal shortly thereafter.

Additional information about the skate park is available on the County’s “Projects” link at www.losalamosnm.us.

Items under the consent agenda include establishing a $1,768,908 project budget for the Central Avenue Streetscape Project; commissioning services associated with the Airport Basin Site Project and authorize the county administrator to procure these services.
