Council to meet in White Rock this week

County council will meet at 7 p.m. at the White Rock Town Hall on Tuesday for their monthly work session.

The consent portion of the agenda is heavy, with seven items of business listed. The business portion of the agenda has only three items listed.

The first consent agenda items is a motion that would grand applications to the Federal Aviation Administration and New Mexico Department of Transportation, Aviation Division, in the amounts of $450,288 and $11,850 respectively, to fund the construction of drainage improvements at the Los Alamos Airport.

The second item would also grant applications to the Federal Aviation Administration and New Mexico Department of Transportation, Aviation Division in the amounts of $508,180 and $13,373 respectively, to fund the design of a runway rehabilitation and extension at the Los Alamos Airport.

Items three and four of the consent agenda pertain to transit buses. The third item is a motion for approval of Budget Revision No. 2009-29 allocating $1,708,700 in 5311 Grant Funds for the purchase of four transit buses and a bus port and additional paved parking at the Airport Basin Site.

The fourth item is a motion for approval to purchase two transit buses in an amount not to exceed $344,950.

The fifth consent agenda item pertains to the vacation of a road and parking easement at 1372 Central Avenue and 1362 Trinity Drive, Lots 2 and 3, in subdivision of tract Q in eastern area No. 2.

The sixth item is the acceptance of a grant of pedestrian access and utility easement at 1247 Central Avenue, amended tract two in subdivision of tract QA, within eastern area No. 2.

The last consent agenda item listed is the Los Alamos County Affirmative Action Plan FY10.

An update on the LACDL Strategic Plan and annual activities tops the business portion of the agenda.

A briefing on the impact of New Mexico HB 219 Legislation on the Los Alamos Building division and the issuance of local building permits is the second item listed.

The last item is approval of the FY2010 salary plan.
