Council to meet, school board on break

County Council will meet in closed session at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the White Rock Town Hall at 133 Longview to discuss the purchase or acquisition of real property.

At 7 p.m., in the same location, council will hold a meeting open to the public to discuss a variety of issues, including job descriptions and salary grades for the county's deputy utilities manager of engineering and deputy utilities manager of power supply and electric distribution services. Councilors also are scheduled to review a grant application to the New Mexico Department of Transportation, Aviation Division in the amount of $1,447.27 to fund runway repainting at Los Alamos Airport.

Council will review of an ordinance adopting an economic development project for public support of WorldScape Incorporated. A programmatic agreement regarding historic properties and responsibilities for the Environmental Impact Statement for the settlement land transfers of Pueblo De San Ildefonso, Pueblo of Santa Clara and Los Alamos County is set to be reviewed. A general services agreement contract with 3M Library Systems and other items related to the county library system are also on the agenda.

The school board work session scheduled for Thursday is canceled. The next regular school board meeting is set for Aug. 8 in the district boardroom at 715 Trinity Drive.
