Drivers needed
Los Alamos Lions Club provides important services to the community. One activity is the HELP program, which started 30 years ago. The program provides free transportation for medical treatment and appointments outside the county.  Patients are transported to Española, Santa Fe and Albuquerque.  If you would like to be a volunteer driver call Barbara Croley at 672-3618 or Lee Sullivan at 661-8037.

Photos sought
Blue Star Mothers is seeking photos of area military men and women serving in the armed forces.  Photos will be displayed on the organization’s  “Wall of Heroes.” Call call Marilyn at  927-4341  or Lena at 927-2687 for more information.

The “Building Kindness Program” of  Habitat for Humanity’s “Building Kindness Program” is now accepting applications for their home repair program. Applicants must provide proof of need, own their home, be willing to work with our crews on the repairs, reimburse Habitat for materials and live in the areas of the Española Valley or Los Alamos. Stop by the Habitat ReStore in Española at 726 North Riverside Drive for an application, or call 505-747-2690 for more information.
