Volunteers needed
The Fuller Lodge Art  Center needs up to a dozen new volunteers. Volunteers sit at the reception desk, greet visitors as they enter and handle any sales. Often visitors have questions about Los Alamos and the interactions with the volunteers become part of their vacation experience. Volunteers are assisted by Fuller Lodge Art Center staff members, as needed. Shifts available are 10 a.m.-1 p.m. or 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Saturday. March on Hunger
 Aspen, Chamisa and Mountain elementaries, along with Los Alamos Middle School, are collecting non-perishable items for people and collars and leashes for pets as a community project and a student service project combined effort.
To learn more about making donations call 661-4846. The Los Alamos Monitor, KRSN, AM 1490 and the Betty Ehart Senior Center continue the March on Hunger through the end of the month.

Photos needed
Blue Star Mothers is seeking photos of area military men and women serving in the armed forces.  Photos will be displayed on the organization’s  “Wall of Heroes.”
This traveling case is displayed at fundraisers and community events. Call Marilyn at  927-4341  or Lena at 927-2687 for more information.

Singers sought
Do you like to sing? Join the Choral Society, a non-auditioned chorus for all ages in Los Alamos. For their spring concert, they will be sing love songs, some Brahms, favorites from the Beatles and some spirituals.
Rehearsals are Tuesdays from 7-9 p.m. at the United Church, 2525 Canyon Road. The concerts will be at 3 p.m. May 22 in Los Alamos and at 1 p.m. May 30 in the town of Cochiti Lake. Call Chuck, 662-9127, or Wendy, 231-0162, for details.
