The newly constituted Charter Review Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday at 5:30 p.m. in White Rock Town Hall. The agenda will cover status reports from members and subcommittees, as well as a “path forward” for the committee’s work. The committee will also discuss plans for holding a Town Hall meeting on Feb. 3, their committee rules and then have a closing item for general committee member comments regarding administrative matters and logistics.
All meetings are open to the public. Public Comments are accepted at the beginning and conclusion of each meeting.
The next committee meeting is scheduled at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 25 at the Golf Course Clubhouse in Los Alamos. The committee plans to alternate meeting locations between White Rock and Los Alamos.
The Los Alamos County Council appointed the nine citizen members to the committee in November and tasked them with a comprehensive review of the county’s Charter in order to take recommendations for additions, deletions or changes to the Charter to the Council in April.
