Dear Editor,

We are writing on behalf of the Embudo Valley Environmental Monitoring Group (EVEMG) in reference to the Feb. 8 article titled “Fighting For Clean Water: Activists File Suit For Healthy Watershed.”First of all, we would like to thank the Los Alamos Monitor for the attention to this lawsuit, and also Roger Snodgrass for the well ordered and thorough reporting of this action. However, Mr. Snodgrass, in your listing of the groups that comprise Communities for Clean Water, you neglected to list just one. Our group, EVEMG, has been with this action from the very beginning and have worked very hard along with the other associations throughout this very long process. EVEMG joined this lawsuit in order to represent communities downwind from LANL – working to understand the relationship between our airshed and our watershed. Being a small, citizen-monitoring group, it is essential that our community support the work that we do, and in order to effectively do so, they need to know what our actions are. This has been a major focus for us and not being listed as participants in your article was a disappointment to us and our community.Sheri Kotowski andYesca SullivanEVEMG
