A musical celebration of Christmas will be occurring at 4 p.m. Sunday in Bethlehem Lutheran Church. From choir members to musicians, everyone is getting involved.Matt Nichols, director of youth and family ministry, explained every other year the church hosts a children’s pageant. During the “off” years, they do something different, he said.Paula Nichols, music director, explained she choose a concert because “I just thought it would be fun. We have so many fine instrumentalists of all ages.”Christmas music, she added, “is a perfect way” to bring these multi-generational performers together.The program will include popular music such as the “Carol of the Bells,” “We Wish You A Merry Christmas,” “March of the Kings” and “O’Holy Night.”The community is encouraged to attend the concert “just to enjoy the Christmas music,” Paula said. “It will be a real variety.”The holiday fun does not stop there. After the concert, there will be a chile fundraiser. Donations will be accepted for the youth group’s service trip to Louisiana. The Christmas spirit will continue with caroling to people who are housebound.
