Celebrating Santa Fe Symphony

-A A +A

In honor of The Symphony’s 30th anniversary season, and in recognition of The Symphony’s longstanding contributions to the communities of Santa Fe and northern New Mexico, Susana Martinez issued an official proclamation “Celebrating the Santa Fe Symphony” throughout the state, for the month of February.
On behalf of the Governor, Cultural Affairs Secretary Veronica Gonzales will present the proclamation at The Symphony’s upcoming concert “In Honor of Lincoln,” 4 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Lensic Performing Arts Center in Santa Fe.
The Symphony, Santa Fe’s full-sized professional orchestra with volunteer chorus, brings great music to life each season with diverse programming that includes beloved masterworks, national premieres and works previously unheard of locally.
The proclamation recognizes The Symphony’s efforts on behalf of Santa Fe’s youth, which include bringing chamber music ensembles and music tutors to the public schools, as well as presenting special, no-cost performances for all Santa Fe fourth-graders each year.
The proclamation also celebrates The Symphony’s recognition via national radio broadcasts and multiple awards from the League of American Orchestras.
