National Library Week, April 13-19, is a time to celebrate the contributions of libraries, librarians and library workers in schools, campuses and communities nationwide and the perfect time to discover how you can join the “Circle of Knowledge @ Your Library.”The Los Alamos County Libraries are celebrating National Library Week with the following events:• Fun library giveaways will be held at all service desks, courtesy of the Friends of Mesa Public Library.• Patrons may enter a drawing at the Mesa circulation desk to win prizes and behind-the-scenes tours given by Library Manager Charlie Kalogeros-Chattan. Five winners will be chosen.• National Poem in Your Pocket Day is April 17. Poem bookmarks will be given away at all service desks for everyone to share with someone during the day.• Album Amicorum, a traveling exhibit of paper marbling from international artists will be in the Mesa Public Library Gallery April 1-30. A public reception and gallery talk with Tom Leech, director of the press at the Palace of the Governors, will be given at 5:30 p.m. April 15. And, from 1-4 p.m.
