The county’s Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) Evaluation and Oversight Committee will hold the next set of public hearings on Phase 1 applications at 5:15 p.m. today at council chambers in Los Alamos and from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at White Rock Town Hall.
Today, the projects that will be discussed are the Los Alamos County Ice Rink cover as well as the signage-arts and cultural district, which involves a study of existing signage within the Arts and Cultural District and propose improvements to create a common look and feel, and to allow visitors to more easily locate attractions within the district.
Wednesday, the public is invited to discuss the White Rock Civic Center Complex, which includes a study for siting, design and construction of a new White Rock library, senior center, youth center and town hall.
Each applicant will give a brief presentation on their project, followed by questions from the Committee and then the floor will be open for public comment.
The public is welcome and encouraged to attend and give the Committee their feed back for or against any project being proposed.
Those unable to attend meetings may e-mail comments for the committee to Gary Leikness in the Community Development Department at gary.leikness@lacnm.us before today’s meeting.
