Burns to speak at MOWW monthly dinner

The Major General Franklin E. Miles Chapter 229 of the Military Order of World Wars in Los Alamos has announced that Carol Burns, Los Alamos National Laboratory Chemistry Division Leader, will talk on “Nuclear Forensics” at the chapter’s June dinner meeting.
The meeting will be on June 18, at the Los Alamos Research Park Hot Rocks Java Café located at 4200 West Jemez Road, just west of the West Jemez Road Fire Station.
Parking is available east of the fire station from the Los Alamos Canyon Bridge, or east of the Research Park building.
The meeting will begin with a social period at 6 p.m. followed by a brief business meeting and dinner at 6:25 p.m. Burns’ presentation will begin at about 7:15 p.m., dinner is $25 per person.
The Military Order of the World Wars dinner meetings are open to interested citizens for the dinner and program, or the program only at no cost. Note that a dinner reservation made is a commitment to the chapter to pay for the reserved dinner(s).

The Military Order of the World Wars was chartered by Act of Congress in 1919 as a national patriotic organization.
The principal objectives of the MOWW are continuing service to the Nation, support for the Nation’s Defense and Homeland Security policies, and patriotic educational opportunity for the nation’s youth and citizens.
