Bueck, Ulrich earn Level 5 state titles

Lilly Bueck and Charlotte Ulrich became the New Mexico state all-around champions in their divisions for their performances at the Level 5 State Gymnastics Meet in Albuquerque March 2.
The Atomic Tumblers Level 5 team, consisting of 8 gymnasts, earned a total of 22 medals, including 11 gold, 6 silver, and 5 bronze.
Bueck competed in the Junior C Division, becoming the state champion in vault (9.0), uneven parallel bars (9.3), and all-around (37.075). Bueck earned silver medals on beam (9.55) and floor (9.225) and was the top all-around scorer across all divisions.
Ulrich captured the state title on vault (8.9), floor (9.175), and all-around (35.925) in the Junior B Division, earning her highest all-around score of the season. Ulrich took bronze on bars with an 8.85 and placed fourth on beam (9.0).
Anna Clark was the silver all-around medalist in the Junior A division, with a 35.85, her highest score of the season.
Clark also earned silver on vault (8.8) and bars (9.0), bronze on beam (9.2), and placed fourth on floor (8.85).
Earlier in this competitive season, Clark earned the all-around championship in the Xcel gymnastics program.
Katie Wingo, in the child division, was the bronze all-around medalist with her highest score of the season, 35.15.
Wingo struck gold on balance beam (9.45) and bars (8.925). She took the bronze on floor (8.975) and placed fifth on vault (7.8). Wingo was the Level 4 all-around champion in 2012.
Ashley Bustos, in the Senior A division, earned a state championship on vault (8.95) and beam (9.25), as well as placing fourth in the all-around (35.15) competition. Bustos took fifth on bars (8.35) and sixth on floor (8.6).
Ramya Stevens, Senior B division, earned the state title on bars (9.2), took the silver medal on beam (8.65), and placed fourth all-around with a 34.45, her highest score of the season.
Stevens placed sixth on floor (8.5) and seventh on vault (8.1).
Suyana Ferreria was the bronze medalist on vault (8.75) in the Junior C division. Ferreria placed fourth on bars (8.7) and all-around (33.875), and fifth on floor (8.525) and beam (7.9). Ferreria earned her highest all-around score.
Elyse Phillips, Senior A Division, gave a strong performance on bars (9.05), earning fourth place in this highly competitive event. Phillips took fifth on floor (8.7), vault (8.3), and all-around (34.75), earning her highest all-around score of the season. Phillips placed sixth on beam (8.7).
