Los Alamos County Council is set to embark on a busy week with four meetings on three days.
Monday, council plans to resume hearings on 2009 fiscal year budget and considers aspects of the Capital Improvement Program and process. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. with a half-hour available for public comment.
Tuesday, the council will meet in closed session at 6 p.m. for a discussion of limited personnel matters regarding the appointment of the utility manager.
At 7 p.m. Tuesday, the council meets in a regular session.
Two public hearings are scheduled, one on lowering a proposed gross receipts tax increase for county regional transit from 3/16th percent to 1/8 percent, and setting a date for a public hearing on an ordinance to vote on tax.
Council will consider the site location for the Animal Shelter and other matters related to the project’s budget, approve the FY 2009 salary plan for county government and consider the condensed set of strategic goals and objectives and how often to schedule sessions for updating them.
