Los Alamos Hilltopper football player Peter Brewer earned a nod to attend the Top Gun Invitational for Football University’s Rocky Mountain Region.
Brewer, who will be a senior for the Hilltoppers this fall, earned his invitation to the Top Gun camp from former NFL linebacker Quentin Coryatt.
This is the second invitation-only event Brewer has been invited to.
Earlier this month, Brewer participated in the National Underclassman Combine. His performance at the combine was good enough to earn him a spot at the Ultimate 100 Combine, where top competitors from around the country are invited to play against each other.
The U100 combine will be in Los Angeles.
The Top Gun invitational will be in Columbus, Ohio. Participation in the Top Gun qualifies Brewer for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, which will be played in January.
For Los Alamos last season, the 6-foot-1, 215-pound Brewer was credited with 20 tackles and 8 assists in 7 games, three of those for loss of yardage. He also was credited with one sack and one quarterback hurry.
For his efforts last season, Brewer was named to the All-District 2-4A second team defense.
