Los Alamos, which led most of the way Wednesday at Ben Lujan Gymnasium, found itself trailing 28-27 after three quarters, but outscored Taos 21-11 in the final period to pick up a 48-39 victory.
Following an opening-round loss to the host Pojoaque Elks, the Hilltoppers (3-8) bounced back to pick up wins Tuesday over Penasco and Wednesday against Taos, a former district rival.
Thomas Russell and Nick Baker both finished with 11 points, while Travis Richins, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, picked up 10 points.
