BenchWarmers 13 features Los Alamos playwright

The Santa Fe Playhouse presents “BenchWarmers 13” by local playwrights and directors. Theater showcasing of New Mexico talent, as “BenchWarmers” returns to the Playhouse for its 13th straight year.
Featured as fully-staged productions are the eight winning 15 minute playlets, selected for this annual fundraising event from the more than 50 original scripts submitted to the Playhouse.  
The eight winning plays, playwrights, directors, and cast members are:
• “Too Soon,” by Los Alamos playwright Robert F. Benjamin directed by Rima Miller. Starring Nicole Phelps as Dawn and Steven Oakey as Frank.
• “A Walk in the Park, by Alix Hudson directed by Jonah Winn-Lenetsky. Starring Shawna Howley as Jasmine and Mary Beth Lindsey as Ava.
• “From Falling Down, by Chadney Everett directed by Vanessa Rios y Valles. Starring Karen Leigh as Helen and Peter Chapman as Sammy.
• “Hijacked,” by Lisa Gray Fisher directed by Eliot Gray Fisher. Starring Isabel Madley as Dena; Cindy Coulter as Sioux; Melissa Chambers as Clarice; Deborah Hayden as Doris; Maude Metcalf as Willow.
• “Prevailing Winds,” by Mary Boliek directed by Jonah Winn-Lenetsky. Starring Mario Ulibarri as Lucky and Amanda Hanson as Terra.
• “The Shower,” by Larry Glaister directed by Peggy Long. Starring Amanda Hanson as Sissy, Ashlie Hughes as Lana and Lucinda Marker as Amanda.
• “Senior Trip,” by Kelly Huertas directed by Erin O’Shaughnessy. Starring Ann Roylance as Mona, Kathi Collins as Ima and Cindy Coulter as Josie.
• “Tech 13,” by Alma Reposadas directed by Andrew Primm. Starromg Felix Cordova as Max, Malcom Morgan as Joe and Matthew Montoya as Larry.
The show runs today through March 2, 7:30 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 4 p.m. Sunday matinees.
Ticket prices range from $10 to $30; $20 general admission, $15 children 17 and under, with special pricing on today, the Sneak Peak Preview ($10 all seats) and the first Friday, the gala opening ($30 all seats).
