The Alzheimer’s Society will host a cowboy breakfast from 7-11 a.m. at the Sheriff’s Posse Lodge. The menu includes plan, blueberry, banana and chocolate chip pancakes along with bacon, sausage, eggs, juice and coffee. The breakfast cost $6 per adult and $4 for children age 10 and younger. Special guest will perform square dancing demonstrations.
TUESDAY
The Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 11:30 a.m. in conference room A at the district office to discuss disposal of fixed assets and a calendar change for the 2008-09 school year.
The Los Alamos League of Women Voters welcomes Linda Deck, paleontologist and director of the Bradbury Science Museum, to the Lunch with a Leader program at 11:45 a.m. at the Best Westen Chama Room. RSVP to Anne at 662-5688 or e-mail braziliandeck@yahoo.com.

The Farmers Market will be held from 7 a.m.-noon in the Mesa Public Library parking lot, 2400 Central Avenue.
Mesa Public Library free film series screens “Stranger Than Fiction” at 6:30 p.m. in the upstairs meeting room theater. Admission is free.
The Los Alamos Arts Council will sponsor a recital featuring Caroline Coggeshall and eight friends at 7 p.m. at Fuller Lodge. The public is welcome.
