WEDNESDAY

Planning and Zoning Commission meets at 5:30 p.m. in the Annex Conference room, 901 Trinity Drive. 

Why is there such a wide gap between rich and poor? Why is it widening? What can we do about this? a book discussion on “The Real Wealth of Nations” will take place from 7-8:30 p.m. at the   Unitarian Church. Call 662-6808.

The Authors Speak Series continues with Hampton Sides, author of “Blood and Thunder: An Epic of the American West,” speaking at 7 p.m. at Mesa Public Library.

FRIDAY

Los Alamos Garden Club  will hold a Wreath Sale from 9 a.m. until wreaths are sold out at Los Alamos National Bank.

The annual Collin Street Bakery Holiday Pecan Cake sale by Los Alamos Chapter #63, Order of the Eastern Star, will be held from 1-6 p.m. in the Los Alamos National Bank lobby.  Packaged pecans, flavored and unflavored, will be available also.  For information, call Nina Laird at 662-7580 or Betty Robertson at 662--5185.
