Wednesday
Join the Sierra Club and SASE Meeting, Smart Grid and You at 7 p.m. in the upstairs meeting rooms of Mesa Public Library. Los Alamos County employees John Arrowsmith and Raphael DeLaTorre will speak on how this Smart Grid Project would make cheap, reliable, efficient long-term power.
Thursday
The League of Women Voters is hosting a forum on the structure of government from 7-9 p.m. at Fuller Lodge, refreshments at 6:30 p.m. Do we want an elected mayor? Non-partisan elections? Should the boards and commissions be non-partisan? Should the county be divided into districts instead of having all Council members at-large? These are questions to consider as we listen to the invited speakers. This forum has been organized by the Charter Review Committee. The speakers are Karen Walker, who participated in the creation of Santa Fe’s City Charter and James Svara, professor of Public Affairs at Arizona State University and Director of the Center for Urban Innovation.
